About Us
The Abercrumbie Group is a team of spirited, accomplished professionals led by Founder and President Claudia M. Abercrumbie. Claudia began her career twenty years ago in Brand Management and Ethnic Marketing at Procter and Gamble. Through her work promoting national sponsorship of events such as the Black Family Reunion Celebration (BFR), Claudia learned to unlock the full marketing value of business and community events. For example, she and her agency had members of the Dance Theatre of Harlem perform at the BFR in white socks, which were then washed on-site to demonstrate the sponsoring brand's cleaning power.
Similarly at Ethicon Endo-Surgery, she managed the company's exhibitor participation in more than one hundred national medical conventions, which advanced the adoption of Ethicon's minimally invasive surgical products and procedures.
In addition, as Director of Development for the Division of Student Affairs and Services at the University of Cincinnati Foundation, Claudia developed effective campaign strategies and creative cultivation events that led to a 350% increase in dollars raised for a university-wide scholarship program.
Witnessing the way an engaging event entertains and informs audiences was all Claudia needed to see. Her revelation eventually became The Abercrumbie Group. Events, tradeshows, and fundraising activities embody so much untapped potential. Properly used, they are opportunities to strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
